She was the wife of Charles Edwin Bigler, Jr. Her second husband was Angus Ronald McDonell (1876 – 18 May 1959).
Sarah Ann Waters Bigler McDonell, 82, Eureka resident, died Thursday at Payson City Hospital of natural causes. She was born Feb. 9, 1891 at Park City to Henry and Lavina Nichols Waters. She married Charles Edwin Bigler Jr., and he died in 1919. She married Angus Ronald McDonell, and he died in 1960. An active member of the LDS Church, she served primarily in the Relief Society organization. She was a member of the Eureka Young-at-Heart Club. She was Eureka City Recorder for many years and had worked at Laird's market as a bookkeeper. She worked for the Tintic School District and served the Eureka area for many years as a voter registration agent. She maintained her home in Eureka and enjoyed handicraft arts. An exceptional baker, many in the community enjoyed her special treats.
Surviving are one son and two daughters, Mrs. Maurine Dunn, Burbank, Calif.; Mrs. Lila Milne Cole, Mammoth, Juab County, and William A. McDonell, Long Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Florence Bruno, Midvale.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Eureka LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Dwain Garbett officiating. Friends may call at Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 S. 300 E., Santaquin, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at the Ward chapel in Eureka Saturday prior to services.
The family suggests contributions to the Eureka LDS Ward building fund in lieu of flowers. Burial will be in Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi.
