Paul was 1 of 8 children born to George L. Aderton and Pauline Cabana, who married 14 Oct 1887 in Calhoun County, Illinois.
Paul served in the United States military during World War I. After the war, he married Ada Borman about 1919. He was a fruit grower in Jersey County, Illinois during the early years of their marriage.
Paul was active in Calhoun County politics and served as a county commisioner for 9 years before becoming the county treasurer. He was an active member of the American Legion. He served as chairman of the Calhoun polio chapter, director of the Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. He was also active in church and other civic activities.
At the time of his death, Paul was 98 years, 10 months and 2 days old. He was survived by his wife, Ada, who passed away in 1994.
