She was the wife of Willie Joe Rose Jr and mother of Donald Perry Rose. Grandmother of Jason Donald Rose and Jacob Daniel Rose.
Her siblings were Mamie Lou Francis Mitchell (Gammon,Scott,Sanderson), Leona Mitchell (Beddingfield), Odis B Mitchell, James Marion Mitchell Jr., William Roy Mitchell, Andrew Jackson "Jack" Mitchell, Ruby Jane Mitchell (Hopper), Joe Daniel Mitchell, and Jesse Rufus Mitchell. Paternal grandparents were Franklin Foster Mitchell 1845-1932, and Martha Jane "Mattie" McClure Mitchell 1860-after the 1910 Census.

Mrs. Rose was a native of Giles County, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late James Marion Frances and Katie Lou Brooks Mitchell.
Survivors include her husband Willie Joe Rose, Jr. of High Point, N.C., one son: Donnie Rose of High Point, N.C., two grandsons, three great grandsons, two brothers: Jesse Mitchell of Hamptonville, N.C. and Joe Mitchell of Ardmore, Alabama and one sister: Ruby Mitchell Hopper of Fayetteville, Tennessee.
