She was born on August 19, 1935, in Montgomery, WV, and died November 16, 2009, in Lecanto, FL. She is predeceased by a son, John Timothy Nease. She was a retired RN from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, and held an under-graduate degree in Nursing. Prior to becoming an RN, she was a Branch Manager and Vice President of First Atlantic Savings of Califon, NJ. She was an EMT for the Califon, NJ, Fire and Rescue Squad. She was a member and past President of the St. Thomas Council of Catholic Women and a Eucharistic minister. She was also honored by Bishop Lynch (St. Petersburg) for exceptional service to the community of St Thomas. She was a member of Crime Watch for the Sugar Mill Woods neighborhood, a member of the Women of Sugarmill Woods women's group, and volunteer poll worker for several elections.
Visitation will take place Thursday, Nov. 19, from 2 to 5 PM, with a Prayer service at 4:30 PM, at Wilder Funeral Home, 4890 S. Suncoast, Blvd., Homosassa, FL. Services will be a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 AM Friday, Nov. 20, at St Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ronald Marecki officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of Citrus County in Lecanto, FL, or St Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Homosassa, FL.
