Cecil Amos Beck was born January 21, 1926, in Drury, Missouri, to Ernest & Maggie (Dobbs) Beck. He left us to be with Ruth and his friends on Saturday, January 07, 2012, peacefully at his home with his family by his side, at the age of 85 years, 11 months, and 26 days

Amos married Ruth on December 31, 1951 and together raise 5 children Dixie, Elaine, Jane, Patty, and Jerry. He served in the United States Army from 1944 until 1946. Amos worked for Ash Grove Cement Company for 37 years, and has been retired from there for 27 years. He was a member of First Christian Church Louisville, and was Baptized at the Louisville Lakes. He loved his garden, and sharing the proceeds, and he loved to visit.

Amos is survived by daughters Elaine Storovich, of Louisville, NE, Jane & husband Kim Pohlen, of Bennet, NE, Patty & husband Tom Sorensen, of Louisville, NE, and son Jerry & wife Nadine Beck, of Louisville, NE son-in-law Roger Kuhn, of Louisville, NE, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandkids with 2 on the way, brother Bob Beck, and sister Mae Grell, of Louisville, NE, dear and special friend Ed Pauli, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Amos is preceded in Death by his parents Ernie & Maggie, wife Ruth, daughter Dixie, grandson Kyle, and brothers Earl and Lyle. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Cass County Fair Grounds, 144th Street, and Hwy 1, 3 miles North of Weeping Water, NE, on 144th Street, with burial at Riverview Cemetery, Louisville, NE, the family Suggests Memorials To the Families Choice Visitation will be Monday, from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends at the Funeral Home, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
