William Henry Arnold, 78 of 3137 Adams died Tuesday at his home of a heart attack. He was born Dec. 28, 1892, in Coalville, a son of Orson B. and Martha Allen Arnold. Hemarried Sarah M Crouch on Dec. 18, 1919, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He retired in 1958 as a poultry supervisor and assistant herdsman for the Utah State Industrial School. He formerly had been a dairyman and poultryman in Coalville and had served on the board of directors for the Utah Poultry Association. He served two terms on the Coalville City Council and was a post commander of the American Legion Post in Coalville. He was also a member of the World War I Veterans Organization, Barracks 1011, having served in the Army during the war. He lived in Coalville until 1945 when he moved to Ogden. A member of the LDS Church, he was a high priest, and served in the bishopric at the Coalville Ward and was MIA superintendent. He had been an active temple worker, served as a stake missionary, was president of the ward choir and was a home teacher. Surviving are his widow of Ogden, one son and one daughter, W. Jack Arnold of North Ogden and Mrs. Thomas (Shirley) harrison of Ogden; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 A.M. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop L. B. Smith of the Ogden 9th Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Friday prior to services. Interment will be in Washington Heights Memorial Park.
