JAMES JENSEN, RESPECTED FARM RESIDENT, PASSES THIS LIFE ON WEDNESDAY.

James Jensen, well-known farmer of North Dixie Highway, died at 3:45 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Mary hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks.
Mr. Jensen had not been in the best of health the past winter, but had been confined to his bed at his home for only two weeks before he was taken to the hospital. The remains were brought to the Canaday funeral home where they lay in state until Thursday afternoon when they were taken to the home where they will remain until the hour of the funeral which will be held at the Methodist church, of which he was member at two o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. W. W. Wohlfarth will officiate and interment will be made in Mt. Airy cemetery.

James Jensen was born on a farm near Lake Village, Ind. on July 19, 1892, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Jensen. He came with the family to the Momence vicinity at the age of six and attended the country schools. On Dec. 4. 1918, he was married in Kankakee to Miss Sina Hyrup and thereafter resided in Bradley for a time. Returning to this community he resided on a farm south of the city for some time but for the past six years had operated the Longpre farm on the Dixie Hyway north of the city.

He was one of a family of 16 children, fourteen of whom grew to adults. his being the first death among them. Surviving are his wife and four children - Ruth, Marjorie, Iris and James, Jr. He also leaves his mother; brothers, Teanis, Knute and Harry of Momence, and John of Minneapolis, Minn.; sisters, Mrs. Lourena Wells, Aroma Park, Mrs. Carrie Nelson, Viborg, S. D., Mrs. Pearl Jensen, St. Anne, Mrs. Jessie Hyrup, Mrs. Emma Madsen, Mrs. May Hupp, Mrs. Minnie Hupp, Mrs. Margaret Schoeffner and Mrs. Pauline Wilson all of Momence. There are also a number of nephews and nieces.

Well and favorably known in the community, he leaves many friends who will join with his family in mourning the passing so early in life of one who has been a kind husband and father, a good neighbor and a loyal citizen.
