Funeral services were held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. for Louis A. Baker, 55, of Dunlevy, Pa who died July 1 at 11 a.m. at work at the Allenport Plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Corp. apparently of a heart attack. Burial followed the service in Belle Vernon Cemetery. He was born in Roscoe, Pa on Aug. 14, 1918 to Alexander M. and the late Ann Humphries Baker. He had been employed at the Allenport plant for the past 25 years. Mr. Baker was a member of the Linwood Lutheran Church; Charleroi BPOE Lodge and was an Army veteran of World War II and member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post. He is survived by his wife, the former Pauline Popik, at home; a son William in England; two daughters, Miss Connie of California, Pa. Mrs. Robert (Marlene) Klanchar of Belle Vernon; his father and stepmother, Alexander and Mary Baker both of New Castle; four brothers, William Humphries of Nevada, Eugene A. Baker, of Sharon, Richard Baker of LaPuente, Calif., and Gerald F. Baker of New Castle; five sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Julia) Polombi of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Kenneth (Eloise) Mason of LaPuente, Calif., Mrs. Leo (Delores) Nicholson, Mrs. Dennis E. (Rosemary) Book and Mrs. Charles (Debra) Fulmer all of New Castle and seven grandchildren
