Penrose - Mrs Mary Penrose, 88 died at the home of her son, John Penrose, five miles northwest of Nappanee.
Six sons, Eli D and John of Bremen, Benjamin F of Syracuse, Isaac W of Holden, Mo, Francis M of Groverton and William J of Kiwa, Cal, together with 33 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren survive.
Rev J W Miller, pastor of the Nappanee United Brethren church, conducted services and burial was made in South Union cemetery.
