Mary Elizabeth Jane Bellamy Aldridge was born at Hilton, Virginia September 30, 1884 and died at her home near Tyrone, Mo December 20, 1934 making her age at time of death 70 years, 3 months and 20 days.
She was united in marriage to Joseph Aldridge October 27, 1879. He preceded her in death five years. To this union were born 13 children, five girls and eight boys. One girl died in infancy, Mrs Pearl Fulk died at the age of 20 years. The surviving children are: Charley, of Carthage Mo; Ollie Broadwater, Susie Crain, Robert, Oneal, Joe and Luther of Tyrone. Orris of Simmons, Frank of Plato; Wales of Hockerville, Oklahoma and Mrs Mary Brown of Elk Creek. She also leaves 57 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, four brothers, two sisters, other relatives and a host of friends. All her children were present at the funeral.
She was converted at the age of 13 and lived a true and faithful life until death. She was a kind and loving mother to her children and was always willing to help any one she could. She was loved by all who knew her.
