Orlando B Clark was a resident of Gilmantown, Buffalo County, Wisconsin. Gilmantown is an incorporated community on Rte 88 where it almost meets at the intersection of US 121.

Orlando served in Civil War on the Union side by enlisting as a Private in Company B, Wisconsin 53rd Infantry Regiment on 22 Mar 1865. He was mustered out on 27 Apr 1865 at Benton Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri, when he died of the disease "Rubeola".

Notes about Company "B":
This Company was consolidated with 51st Wis.Inf., as Company "H" in compliance with Ext. 74, S.O. No. 294, dated June 10, '65, War Dep't; consolidation perfected at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., June 30, '65, original Company "H," of said 51st Wis. Inf., having been mustered at Milwaukee, Wis., May 6, ''65, before joining its command, in compliance with Ext. 6, G.O. No. 77, dated April 28, '65, War Dep't, reducing the army. Orlando's captain was Rufus S. Allen of Lowell, Wis.

Orlando B Clark's residence was Gilmantown and he died of disease.
