Orlando B Clark was a resident of Gilmantown, Buffalo County, Wisconsin. Gilmantown is an incorporated community on Rte 88 where it almost meets at the intersection of US 121.
Orlando served in Civil War on the Union side by enlisting as a Private in Company B, Wisconsin 53rd Infantry Regiment on 22 Mar 1865. He was mustered out on 27 Apr 1865 at Benton Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri, when he died of the disease "Rubeola".

Inf., having been mustered at Milwaukee, Wis., May 6, ''65, before joining its command, in compliance with Ext. 6, G.O. No. 77, dated April 28, '65, War Dep't, reducing the army.
