"Mrs. Rachael Bertsch Dead
She Expired at the Home of her Daughter in Seattle, Wash.
A telegram received yesterday by C. Duttlinger announces the death at Seattle, Wash., Monday night, of Mrs. Rachael Bertsch, widow of Louis Bertsch, who was for many years a citizen of Little Rock and Hot Springs. Mrs. Bertsch's death occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. Pinger, in Seattle.
Deceased was about 60 year of age, and was born in Little Rock, the daughter of Henry Jacobi. She was a sister of Mrs. Conrad Duttlinger of this city, and is survived by her daughter and three sons, Albert, Louis and Rudolph, residents of Seattle. Mrs. Bertsch lived to see her children well settled and prosperous in life. She is well remembered by a large number of Little Rock and Hot Springs people, by whom the announcement of her death will be received regretfully."
Rachael married:
1st John M. Woolery, and he either died or they divorced, and she used her maiden name when she married the 2nd time. It is unclear if John M. Woolery or Louis F. Bertsch were the father of Rudolph, who was known as Rudolph Bertsch, born ca. 1864 AR.

Louis Bertsch was a charter member in 1868 of First Lutheran Church, Little Rock, Arkansas. Before 1868 it was known as the German Evangelical Lutheran Church. The present archivist stated to me that Rachael and her mother were also members.

Rachael's father, Henry Jacobi was a charter member of the first synagogue in Little Rock, which was established in 1845. The congregation met in a large, neatly-furnished hall on Markham Street. Congregation B'Nai Israel was at 204 Center Street in 1876, and a new Temple was later at Capitol and Broadway in Little Rock.
