Mrs. Haller lived most of her life on a farm near Mound City, moving to Hutchinson a few years ago.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Lottie Roberson, RFD 4; a son, Abe Haller of Oakland, California; two half-brothers, Sam Grooms of Wichita and Frank Grooms of Madison; two half-sisters, Mrs. Jennie Clearwater of Boicourt and Mrs. Annie Groves of Glendale, California, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Johnson and Sons chapel. The body will be taken to Mound City and a second service will be held in Wesley chapel near there at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be there. -- The Hutchinson Kansas News, March 4, 1942, page 7.
Annie S. Haller was born in Birdville, Texas, on February 29, 1856, and died in Hutchinson, Kansas, on March 3, 1942. The funeral took place at Johnson and Sons Funeral Home in Hutchinson on March 5, Rev. Ray Bresller presiding. Music included "Shadows" and "Sometime We'll Understand." Pall Bearers were Vincent Rowland, Schuyler Roberson, Thomas Roberson, Morris Tucker, Roy Emery, Clarence Emery, and Fred Evans.
