So loved by his family and friends,
From Clyde's son Jerry April 12. 2010:
Yesterday was a tough day and tomorrow may be even tougher. It helps to keep in mind that he's not suffering anymore and is in a better place. There was about 75 people that paid their respect. Not bad for a man his age. The funeral home did such a great job. The US Flag was at one end of the casket and the Marine Corp flag at the other end. The US flag draped the casket. They also had a basket full of melons in memory of his melon selling days. They did that on their own but I thought it was quite appropriate and offered a light hearted moment. There will also be a Marine Corp color guard at his funeral and Taps will be played.
You were so loved and appreciated. You were a great father and husband who stood by your family always. You will be forever loved and missed. Mama misses you so much but we will take care of her and she will be okay until she is with you again. I know you are with God. You lived your entire life for this moment. Time will help heal the pain but nothing will ever erase our memories.
Love Always, Jerry
