She married Rev. Henry S. Stouffer Aug 28, 1870 in her father's home. They had five children Ross Lohr, Mary Ann, Hannah Lohr, Ada, and an infant son.
Ellen died March 29, 1880 from complications of childbirth sometime after her infant son was born and died.
