BRYSON Passed away in Raymond on Saturday, February 9th, 1985, LEAH HOLT (JONES) BRYSON at the age of 79 years, beloved wife of David R. Bryson of Raymond. Mrs. Bryson was born in Raymond on January 15th, 1906 to Franklin T. Holt and Sarah Bullock Holt. She received her schooling in Raymond schools and the Agriculture College. She was married in the Cardston Temple to Alvin Woodruff Jones on November 18th, 1925. Born to this couple were five children, Blayne (Kay) Jones of Ottawa, Ontario, Iris ( Reid ) Smith of Firth, Idaho, Dale (Pat) Jones of Tacoma, Washington, Natalie (Cecil) Ninow of South Jordan, Utah, and and Richard (Lois) Jones of Independence, Missouri; 39 grandchildren; and 27 greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Bryson worked with Alvin for many years in the Raymond Bakery. Later they moved to Taber and ran the boarding house while the Sugar Factory was being built . A bad fall on the ice caused the death of her husband on February 20th, 1949. She remained in Taber until the factory was finished. Then she moved to Vauxhall where she ran the boarding house for the Agricultural Research Station. She was also a cook at the Lethbridge Community College, and was the first matron for the Ridgevicw Lodge at Raymond. Mrs. Bryson later moved to Bountiful, Utah and worked at a nursing home for the elderly. On June 10th, 1977 she married David R. Bryson who had two sons, Dale R. Bryson of California, and J. Riley Bryson of Oklahoma. She was well known as a outstanding cook, and she was an accomplished pianist. While living in Utah, she was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held many positions such as Organist, Relief Society President, and Teacher. Besides her husband and her children; she is survived by three sisters and three brothers, Emma H. Dahl and Ruth (Scott) Salmon of Raymond, Gladys (Woodrow) Stringam of Lethbridge. Truman (LaRell) Holt and Murray (Luella) Holt of Raymond, Issac (Edith) Holt of Lethbridge; also two sistersin- law, Helen Holt of Raymond and Delia N. Holt of Calgary. She was predeceased by her parents; one sister Florence; and three brothers, Grant, Morris and Bill. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 13th, 1985 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ravmond Park Avenue L D.S. Chapel with Bishop Mark Ellingson officiating. Friends may meet the family from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Christenscn Salmon Funeral Chapel, (327 10th Street South) or from 12 noon until 1:15 p m. at the church on Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery- "
