Severin was the husband of Anna and they share the same headstone.
Severin Christianson, 86, lifelong resident of the county, died Friday afternoon at the homestead farm in the town of Cato, a mile and a half west of Valders.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the home and at 2 o'clock from the West Valders Lutheran church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Christianson was born on the homestead farm, where he spent his life, in 1856. In 1880 he married Miss Ann Anderson, in a double ceremony in which the other couple was Mrs. Christianson's sister, and Andrew Sievertson, now living at Millbank S.D. The two couples observed the sixtieth anniversary of their marriage in a joint celebration at Valders in November, 1940.
Mr. Christianson is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Olga Torrison of this city, Mrs. Clifford Berge of Valders; four sons, Alfred, on the home farm, Victor, of Millbank, Walter and Wilmer of Valders; 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
The body will be moved to the home Sunday afternoon from the Berge funeral home, and may be viewed until the hour of the services.

West Valders Cemetery is located in the Town of Liberty at the southeast corner of the junction of Marken, English Lake Road and Highway 151. The main entrance fronts on Highway 151. This cemetery is also one of the oldest of three cemeteries belonging to the Faith Lutheran Church of Valders.
