Alford Christianson was the Husband of Tilda and they share the same headstone.
West Valders Cemetery is located in the Town of Liberty at the southeast corner of the junction of Marken, English Lake Road and Highway 151. The main entrance fronts on Highway 151. This cemetery is also one of the oldest of three cemeteries belonging to the Faith Lutheran Church of Valders.

Alfred Christianson, 74, of Valders died at his home Tuesday following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Valders Evangelical Lutheran Church. Intern Loren Espeland will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Christianson was born Oct. 3, 1885, in the Town of Cato, son of the late Severin and Anna Anderson Christianson. A dairy farmer in the town of Cato, he retired about four years ago and moved to the Village of
Valders. He married the former Tilda Torrison, May 11, 1911, at Valders.
He was president of the Valders School board for 29 years, director of the Quarry-Riverside telephone exchange for many years, was a member of the church brotherhood and held a number of church offices.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Raymond and Wilfred of Valders and Leroy on the home farm; three brothers, Victor of Arthur, Iowa, and Walter and Wilmer of Valders; two sisters, Mrs. Olga Torrison and Mrs. Gilford Berge, of Valders; and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Berge Funeral Home, Valders, after 3 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state from noon until the time of service.
