William S. Coleman, 88, of San Diego died April 1. He was born in Hamburg, Ark., and was an electronics technician for the 32nd Street Naval Station.
He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the El Cajon Amateur Radio Club and Blessed Sacrament Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Coleman; daughters, Sandy Balkenhol and Kim Newell of San Diego, Ellen Rankin of Lake Village, Ark., Lisa Read of Starkville, Miss., and Polly Strobel of Imperial Beach; son, Bing Coleman of Parowan, Utah; sisters, Mary Hamm of Escondido and Betty Jontz of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Otto Coleman of Greenville, Miss.; and 11 grandchildren.
Inurnment: Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
