William H. Hanser, 87, died at 7 a.m. Saturday at his home on Harrington Mill Road.

Mr. Hanser was a native of Laurel County and a son of the late Carl and Salome Erdinger Hanser. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and of Solomon Lodge No. 5 F. & A.M.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Aline Thurman Hanser, three daughters, Mrs. Edward Combs, Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. Fielding Ballard, Jr., Shelbyville, and Mrs. Glenn Million, Rock Island, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Basham, New Albany, Ind.; Mrs. Clara Baumgartner and Mrs. Sally Nederhauser, Monterey Park, Calif.; two brothers, George and Robert Hanser, Shelby County; and
several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday (today) from Shannon Funeral Home by Rev. Fred T. Moffatt, Jr. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cem.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church.
