Pvt. Bevensted was wounded between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. In pickett's Charge. He was shot in the chest and died from his wounds. He died at letterman Hospital and was buried in the Hospital Cemetery. He was wounded near the Copse of Trees, west of Hancock Ave, near the stone wall.
