Mrs. Mattie C. Henderson passed away at the home of her son, F. J. Henderson in Greer on Saturday afternoon. Up until three years ago she had made her home with her son, C.M. Henderson in McCormick.
She was a devout member of Standing Springs Baptist Church in Greenville County and had made her home in the Standing Springs Community until her husband's death.
Among her survivors are three daughters, Mrs. J. H. Carr from Piedmont, Mrs. R. L. Thompson from Simpsonville, Mrs. M.C. Nichols from Charlotte, North Carolina; two sons, F.J. Henderson from Greer, C. M. Henderson from McCormick; one sister, J. B. Riddle from Greenville, one brother, A.J. Clark from Pickens; forty-two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Standing Springs Baptist Church this afternoon at 4 p.m.
