Elsie Alfreda Luck, 84, of Spotsylvania County passed away at her home on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010.

Mrs. Luck was a loving and caring person and a member of Craigs Baptist Church, Spotsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira E. Luck Sr., and her parents, Lora Peacher and Alfonso Sullivan.

She is survived by two sons, Ira E. Luck Jr. of Fredericksburg and David Fadool of Richmond; four daughters, Lorene Newberry of Spotsylvania, Cindy L. Luck of Fredericksburg, Helen Taylor of Richmond and Frances Lee of Georgia; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Survivors also include her four sisters, Ann Verling of Spotsylvania, Lorraine Cooper of Stafford County, Maxine Southard of Spotsylvania, and Thelma Crawford of Herndon.

A visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove. A funeral will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 27, at Craigs Baptist Church, Spotsylvania, with the Rev. John Swain officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A reception will be held at the church following the service.
