Sam Mike Byoff died in his home in Burnt Ranch November 23.
Born February 17, 1900 in Russia, he was 70 years old.
He was a citizen of the United States and a veteran of World War I. He was a retired mill worker for Carolina-Cal Lumber Company in Burnt Ranch.
He made his home in Burnt Ranch for the past 35 years and had lived in the State of CA for 60 years.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Nellie Sanford of Broderick and two sons, George and Alfred, both of Broderick.
Services were held November 25 at McDonald-Files Chapel in Weaverville with Rev. Paul Richins officiating.
Burial was in the family lot in the Weaverville Cemetery.
