Thompson Kyle was the son of the late Thompson and Margaret Peese Kyle and was born at the family homestead at Harrisville. He was the last surviving member of a family of nine children and was a farmer by occupation.

He owned and operated a farm at Annandale for 35 years and retired in 1916. He then moved to Slippery Rock and in 1919 he moved to Harrisville. He was the oldest
member of the First Presbyterian church of Harrisville.

He leaves his widow, Kathryn O'Neill Kyle; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Graham of New Castle and Mrs. H. P. Hilliard of Harrisville.
