ASHEVILLE - Pamela June Burnette, 61, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Burnette was born January 15, 1950 in Buncombe County. She was the daughter of the late James Knupp and Willie Jones Moore.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Knupp and sister, Wanda Evans.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Larry Burnette; son, Benjamin Shonn Burnette and wife, Luann, of Fayetteville, N.C.; brother, Bruce Knupp of Leicester; and four grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 12, at 12 noon in Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel with the Reverend Steve Honeycutt officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals.
