MRS. HOMER GRAYSDEN [Sara Maxie Smith] FOWLER
Mrs. Sara Maxie Smith Fowler, 84, of Andersonville, passed away Sunday, June 28, 1998 at her home in the Englishville District. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 30, 1998 at 2 pm in the Whitewater Baptist Church with interment in OGLETHORPE MEMORIAL GARDENS CEMETERY.

Mrs. Fowler was born in Macon County on the farm where she died. She was the daughter of the late William A. Smith and Sara Ann English. She was the wife of the late Reverend Homer Fowler. Mrs. Fowler was a piano teacher for forty years and taught more than 800 children during her career. She was a member of Whitewater Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and led the children's choir.
She is survived by her daughter; Sara Dawn Hortman of Griffin; sons R. Dean Fowler of Steinhatchee, Florida; H. Smith Fowler of Griffin; two daughters-in-law; Loretta Perry Fowler and Peggy Barnes Fowler; four granddaughters, Maxie Rumph, Joni Cushing, Vicki Harcrow, Karla Hale; grandsons: Brad Fowler, Eric Fowler, Jon Fowler and eight great grandchildren.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Moantezuma had charge of arrangements.
