Julia Tabb, a retired administrative assistant in the industrial development department of CSX Transportation, died April 8 in a hospital in Louisburg, N.C., where she had moved seven years ago. She was 86. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Tabb and her late husband, Harry, moved to Jacksonville in 1960 when they were relocated here from Wilmington, N.C., with the former Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. Mrs. Tabb retired in 1980 after 30 years with the railroad. After her retirement, Mrs. Tabb joined the Baptist Medical Center Auxiliary where she was an active volunteer and also served on the auxiliary's board. "Julia loved Jacksonville," said Marcella Lowe, a longtime friend. Mrs. Tabb was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Ponte Vedra Club. Survivors include two sisters, Jeannette Lord of Louisburg and Anna Wolfe of Carpinteria, Calif. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 1435 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
