The many friends of James R. Parker, a well know citizen of Jacksonville, will regret to learn of his death, which occurred at his residence 304 Copeland Street, Thursday night a 12:30 o'clock after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his widow and three sons, Sheldon, Robert and James Parker, also seven sisters, Mrs. Lula Register, Mrs. Emma Morris of Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Rosa Mayer and Mrs. Reed Ard of Sumter, SC; Mrs. William Blackwell, Shadydale, Ga., and Mrs. J. A. Truisman of Lincoln, NC and Mrs. D. R. Holland of this city; also three brothers J. H. Parker of Savannah, Ga; William Parker of Bushenll, Ga and E. M. Parker of this city. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 3:30 o'c'clock from the Park Street Methodist church. The Rev. James R. Chapman will officiate. S. S. Davis Lodge No. 15 Knights of Pythias of which the deceased was a member, will conduct the service at the grave. The following will act as pallbearers and are requested to meeet at the parlors of Funeral Director William C. Cooper, Jr. at 2:30 o'clock: Lee Taylor, J. H. Rogers, W. F. Coahman, D. J. McMillan, Van C. Swearingen and W. J. Coleman. The interment will be made in Woodlwawn cemetery.
(Note: Woodlawn is now part of Evergreen Cemetery).
