His is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Helm; son, Owen R. Helm Jr.; sisters, Owena Richardson, and Pearl Terry; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held under the direction of Stephens and Bean Chapel.
