He was a son of Carpenter Allen Myers and Lucinda Truelove Roy.
When he was a child in Missouri, he was a neighbor of Almanzo and Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Laura wrote the series of books titled "Little House on the Prairie."
He was married to Dovey "Ellen" Harris on 27 Mar.1912 in Richmond, VA. Looking at their wedding picture I would say that they were married in the garden with the rock wall at Maymont Park.
They had at least five children.
