Ezekiel Robinson Day Bennett was this writer's third cousin.

He went by one of his middle names, Robinson. Son of Fielding Dick Bennett (1828-1900) and Pembrook (Campbell) (Smith) Bennett (1838-1920). Grandson of Ezekiel Bennett, Sr. (1795-1846) and Lydia (Asbell) Bennett (1804-1882); and Rev. Thomas Campbell (1809- ) and Elizabeth (Paul) Campbell (1807- ).

Robinson's full siblings were:

Mary Emma Airey Ada (Bennett) Parcells (1871-1941)
Lydia Canzadia May (Bennett) (Todd) Dodd (1876- )
William Bennett (1878-1878)
Lovena Bennett (1879-1883)

Robinson also had two half-siblings:

John F. Bennett (1854-1930) son of his father Fielding Bennett by his first wife.
James Thomas Ditimus Smith (1858-1920) son of his mother Pembrook by her first marriage.

On 24 Feb 1894 Robinson married Amanda Keller (1868-1919) in Adair County, Missouri. They had 5 daughters and 2 sons:

Alice Amanda (Bennett) Alexander (1894- )
Charles E. Bennett (1896-died young)
Alta B. (Bennett) Graham (1899-1989)
Aleta A. Bennett (1902- )
Alma M. (Bennett) Merotti (1905- )
Ala M. Bennett (1907- )
Eugene Robinson Bennett (1910-1977)

In 1900, Robinson and his family were living with his parents in Pettis Township of Adair County, Missouri, and farming. In 1910, Robinson was a clergyman/evangelist and he and his family were living in English Township of Lucas County, Iowa.

In 1919, Robinson's wife Amanda died. In the 1920 census, Robinson and his 3 children remaining at home had moved to Dover, Tuscarawas, Ohio, where Robinson was working in chemistry at a soap factory.

In 1923, Robinson married second wife Gertrude M. Bierman. They came to visit this writer's family in Kirksville, Missouri, in the early 1950s.

Robinson died 10 May 1957 in Springfield, Illinois. In a letter to my parents and grandparents in 1957, Robinson's son Eugene Bennett, states that his father is buried near his father's sister Emma in Oak Ridge Cemetery. However, in 2010, a volunteer could find no stone for Ezekiel Robinson Bennett, and his grave may be unmarked.
