Born February 28, 1943 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Emma Elizabeth and Edward Delbridge Houston, Mrs. Hastings died June 28th.
She was a member of the Temprano Chapter of the American Business Women's Association and First Baptist Church of Richardson. She attended Baylor University, and she founded and operated the South Plains Learning Center in Lubbock.
She is survived by her husband, Howard V. Hastings II of Lubbock; sons, Howard Mark Hastings and David Houston Hastings, both of Lubbock; daughter, Holly Elizabeth Hagler of Lubbock; mother Emma Houston of Lubbock; sisters, Olivia Houston of Lubbock and Barbara Morgan of Ruidosa, N.M.; and, three grandchildren.
Burial is in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock. Memorials may be sent to South Plains Learning Center.
