Fred W. Binnig of Fairport- Nursery Rd., Painesville, Township died Friday night at the Ridgecliff sanitarium in Wickliffe after suffering a series of strokes.
Mr Binnig had been a resident of this locality for the last 55 years.
He was born in Germany, April 9, 1860, and later came to this country where he followed the occupation of gardener.
Mr. and Mrs. Binnig marked their 55th wedding aniversary May 12. They were married in 1887 at St Helens church in the Isle of Wight, England.
Besides his wife, Emily, Mr. Binnig is survived by two sons, Fred, at home, Howard of grand River and three daughters, Mrs. Hilda Ahlstrom of Painesville, Mrs. Margaret Gray of Fairport,, and Mrs. Lillian makey of Perry. He also leaves a brother Adolph of Painesville township, a sister, Lena Lawrence of Perry, 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pm at the residence, with Rev. Dayton B Wright of St james Episcopal Church, Painesville, officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call at the home beginning Sunday afternoon.
Rites Held for FW Binnig, Sr.
Rites were conducted Monday at 2 pm for Fred W. Binnig, Sr. 82, who died Friday night. The service, conducted by the Ref. Dayton B. Wright St. james rector, was held at the residence on the Fairport-Nursery Rd., Painesville township. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles G., Adolph and Fred Harley, and Harold, Glen and Edward Lawrence.
