|Birth: ||Oct. 29, 1917|
|Death: ||May 17, 2008|
Berneta T. "Neta" Hoover passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, having lived a full and rewarding life for over 90 years. She resided at 1340 East 360 South in Provo, Utah at the time of her death.
She was born October 29, 1917 in Springville, Utah to George and Dora Turner.
On April 28, 1934, Neta married Wendell C. "Tuck" Hoover in Coalville, Utah, who passed away a little over 10 years ago. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Neta worked in the early years of their marriage in Marysville and Richfield during the winter season Ð when the golf course was shut down in Provo and Tuck had to find work during the off season. She later went to work for the Barbizon in Provo where she retired after 27 years.
Neta and Tuck have three daughters, Jeanette, Bonnie and Wen who will miss their mom.
Neta has been an active member of the Bonneville 13th Ward for many years and was one of those special people who always took a few extra minutes to help someone who needed a kind word or a little extra help. She spent the majority of her time worrying about her three girls, and their families, as well as people she knew and loved. She always took the time to tell people about her family and how proud she was of each and every one, and how much she loved them.
Many years the family would gather on holidays and special Sundays to enjoy Grandma's famous fried chicken and those special mashed potatoes. This seemed to be the time when she was the happiest Ð when all of her family was together and enjoying one another's company.
She is survived by her three daughters: Jeanette (Denny) Couch of Bozeman, Montana; Bonnie (Robert) Bryson of Provo, Utah; Wen (Michael) Nesbit of Sandy, Utah; nine grandchildren and 14 grandchildren and her sister Zelma Alger of Provo, Utah.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 23, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the Bonneville 13rd Ward Chapel, 1498 East 800 South, Provo, Utah. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the Services at the Chapel.
Interment will be at the Provo City Cemetery.
