Margaret Alice McClung was born October 10th 1925 in Bloomington, IL to Homer Kerney and Iva Jane (Dulaney) Johnson. She passed away Monday, December 30th 2013 in Weatherford,OKlahoma at the age of 88. Margaret's family moved to the Geary area when she was a young child. She attended Geary Public Schools. She married Marshall McClung in the summer of 1949. Margaret moved to the Greenfield Community where Marshall farmed and ranched. She was a very talented seamstress, and she worked for many years in Tincy's dress shop. She worked as a sales girl as well as tailor in the shop. Margaret was an active member of the Jolly Worker's Home Demonstration Club for more than 50 years. She was a member of the Greenfield Baptist Church and was very involved in the Etna Wesleyan Methodist Church. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Iv A Johnson, husband, Marshall McClung, son, Don McClung, brother CW Johnson and sister, Carmen Harvey in lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to the Etna Wesleyan Methodist Church, RR 1 Box 60, Geary, OK. 73040. Services: Saturday, January 4th 2014,2PM at the Greenfield Baptist Church. Officiating: Rev. Ted Flood. Private family burial at the Geary Cemetery, Geary, OK. Services entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, Oklahoma, condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected] or turnerfh.net.
