Two Men Killed
Last Thursday afternoon the citizens of this city were horror stricken by the announcement that John Svensgaard's threshing engine had blown up and had killed him and Charley Darling almost instantly.
The cause of the disaster was low water or rather no water in the boiler and reckless carelessness on the part of John Svensgaard.
The funeral of Charles Darling was held at the house this morning, Saturday, Dr. Wotring preaching the funeral sermon. The remains were laid to rest in the Brush Cemetery. Mr. Darling leaves a wife and two little children, a father and mother, two sisters and a brother to mourn his loss. The Darling family has been residents of this county for some time and has made for themselves a large circle of friends.
John Svensgaard will be buried this afternoon, Saturday.
