Birth: Dec. 14, 1868
Pontotoc County
Mississippi, USA
Death: Feb. 20, 1954
Llano
Llano County
Texas, USA

She was a daughter of Patrick A. and Narcissa M. Bumgardner Vance and the wife of Charles H. Appleton. Her death certificate shows she was born in Texas, but she was actually born in Mississippi as verified by the 1870 census.
Her death certificate also shows she was a daughter of John Vance instead of Patrick; however, she was the daughter of Patrick. It appears the informant of the death certificate was Mrs. Charles Simpson, who was the wife of Edna's nephew. It is very likely she would not have known the correct information. (Charles Simpson's father was named John.)
