He supplied all the marble for the interior of the main building at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

"Illness Take Breidster, 81, Founded Marble Firm. Fred W. Breidster, 81, of 3027 N. Marietta Ave, founder and operator of the old Breidster Marble Co. and father of Brig. Gen. W. Fritz Breidster, commanding general of the 32nd division artillery, Wisconsin national guard, died Friday at Milwaukee hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Breidster founded the marble manufacturing and contracting firm in the early 1900s and operated it about 50 years. The old site is now occupied by the Hillside Terrace housing project on N. 7th between W. Galena and W. Cherry sts.
Mr. Breidster was also associated with the Sterling Building & Loan assoication the last 20 years. He was president of the association and vice-president of the Wisconsin Memorial Park Co., which operates the cemetery of the same name.
He was a life member of the Athletic Club, one of the oldest members of the Elks here, the last surviving member of the old Mohawk club, a local fishing club, and a member of the Lafayette Masonic lodge and Tripoli shrine.
Surviving, besides his son, are a daughter, Mrs. Thomas B. Hurd; another son, Milford A., all of Milwaukee, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Kuepper [George Kuepper], Slinger.
Services will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday at the Philip J. Weiss funeral home, 1901 N. Farwell Ave. The Lafayette lodge will be in charge. Entombment will be in the Wisconsin Memorial Park mausoleum. The body will be at the funeral home after 1 pm Monday."
