Clifford M. Brown, 69, Tempe, formerly of Muscatine, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002 in Mesa, Ariz.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine. Following cremation, burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is 9 a.m. Until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine Community of Christ Youth Camping Fund.
Mr. Brown was born Aug. 7, 1932 in New London, the son of William A. and Violet L. Tripp Brown. He married Charlotte J. Golliday April 22, 1951 in Burlington. She preceded him in death Aug. 31, 1998. He married Doris A. Hagen Aug. 17, 1999, in Colorado.
He was a member of the Muscatine congregation of Community of Christ and served as pastor at various times. He also served the church as district bishop's agent and was member of the Cedar Valley Grove Campground Board. He was member of the Board of Directors for Crossroads, district chairman for the Hoover District of the Boy Scouts of America and coordinator of Habitat for Humanity projects, all in Muscatine.
He was employed at HON 1966-1998, retiring as a senior vice president. Since that time he did manufacturing consulting services.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Brown of Tempe; a son, David J. Brown and wife Joan of Independence, Mo.; daughters, Diane Cochran and husband Steve of Menasha, Wis., Debra Wykert and husband Mel and Dorene Weikert, all of Muscatine; grandchildren, Randall Brown, Kristen Brown, Christopher Corrie, Catherine Corrie, Jeffrey Corrie, Conan Cochran, Karon Cochran, Amanda Wykert, Joshua Wykert, Nathan Weikert, Nicole Weikert, Noah Weikert and Dzerassa Kambegova; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Brown and wife Mercy of Alamo, Texas and Jack Brown and wife Pat of Danville; and a sister, Barbara Smith and husband Merv of West Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Charlotte Golliday Brown; and a son-in-law, Craig Weikert.
