MISHAWAKA OBITUARY: Lloyd Lowell Bird
Lloyd Lowell Bird, 43, of 519 Burdette St. died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday in his
home. He had been ill for three months. He was born in Raleigh, N. D., and
moved here from that city 23 years ago. He had been employed by the Studebaker
Corp. for the last 10 years.
Surviving are his widow; three brothers, Albert R. Bird, of Billings, Mont.,
Theodore Bird of Selfridge, N. D., and Lawrence Bird, Miles City, Mont.; and
four sisters, Mrs. Vera Miles, Mrs. Ida Emmons and Mrs. John Wardlow, all of
Mishawaka, and Mrs. Harold Potts, of Torrance, Calif.
Friends may call at the Bubb chapel after 7 p.m. today and until the funeral
services there at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Eldon R. Shultz of the south Side Church
of the Nazarene will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial
Park.

LLOYD L. BIRD'S RITES ARRANGED
Funeral rites for Lloyd Lowell Bird, 43, of 519 Burdette St., who died
Tuesday night in his home will take place at 2 p. m. Friday in the Bubb chapel.
Rev. Eldon R. Shultz, pastor of the South Side Church of the Nazarene, will
officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Mr. Bird was
born in Raleigh, N. D., and moved here from that city 23 years ago. He had been
employed by the Studebaker Corp. for the last 10 years.
Surviving are his parents, Mrs. Elizabeth Bird, of Mishawaka, and George
Bird, of South Bend; a nephew, Duane Lee Wardlow, of Mishawaka; three brothers,
Albert R. Bird, of Billings, Mont., Theodore Bird, of Selfridge, M. D., and
Lawrence Bird, of Miles City, Mont., and four sisters, Mrs. Vera Miles, Mrs. Ida
Emmons, Mrs. John Wardlow, all of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Harold Potts, of Torrance,
Calif. Friends may call at the chapel until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will
be Richard Barton, Wayne Sargent, Earl Baker, Roy Miles, Charles Eakins and
Homer McGraw.
