Olive L. Bennett

Olive Bennett, 98, of 915 S. 27th St., died at 9:40 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. She was born Jan. 6, 1890, in Fairbury, Neb., and lived in South Bend since 1899, coming from Nebraska. On Sept. 23, 1906, in St. Joseph, as Olive Hudson, she married Walter Bennett. He died July 1, 1959. Surviving are a son, Merle of Lake Placid, Fla.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Fern Price of Lake Placid, Fla. A daughter, Verle Cordtz, died in 1982.
...Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park... She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

The photo of Aunt Ollie was taken on her 90th birthday. She wanted a kegger on her 100th. Everyone thought she would make it as her mind was sharp as a tack. I miss her piano playing and all her African Violets. May you rest in peace beautiful lady.
