Obituary:
H.E. Bowman of Clinton, 93 years old, former resident of the Rocky community, died Sunday, October 26, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ella Adams of Bethany.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, October 28, at the Church of Christ in Rocky, conducted by C.F. Cannon, minister. Burial was made in Lone Star Cemetery.
A native of South Carolina, Mr. Bowman moved to the Rocky community in 1898 from Texas. He had been a resident of Clinton since 1922.
He is survived by two sons, Frank Bowman of Clinton and John Bowman of Lawton, and by six daughters, Mrs. Adams, Mrs. E.A.W. Cannon of Rocky, Mrs. Jim Dunn of Lawton, Mrs. Shelton Smith of Muleshoe TX, Mrs. Edna Hammons of Sweeney TX and Mrs. Lee Smith of Overton NE.
