CASPER — Funeral services for longtime Casper resident, Gladys A. Highland, 74, are pending at the Bustard Funeral Home.
Mrs. Highland, 1136 West 22nd, died Saturday at Natrona County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 3, 1899 at Sturges, S.D., where she was raised. She was married in 1920 to Leslie Norman at Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where they lived until moving to Casper in 1923.
Norman preceded her in death in 1945.
During the 1940s, she wdrked with the Salvation Army in Casper.
In 1950, she was married to T.J. Highland at Casper. He preceded her in death in 1957.
Mrs. Highland was secretary of the Salvation Army Home League, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Trainman's Auxiliary and the Gold Star Mothers.
Surviving are a son, James L. Norman of Casper; three daughters, Mrs. Vera Dodds of Panguitch, Utah, Mrs. Lucille Fiores of Sparks, Nev., and Mrs. June Knobel of Casper; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Flowers or memorials to the Blue Envelope Heart Fund will be appreciated by the family.
