Mrs. Arthur J. Graham, 76, died at 5:15 Monday morning at St. Anthony Hospital, where she had been re-admitted July 16. She had been ill about two months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Walter E. Schiel officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in the Carroll City Cemetery.
The body is resting at the Huffman Funeral Home until the time of the church rites.
Mrs. Graham, the former Mamie Rawhouser, was a memeber of a well known pioneer family here. A daughter of the late William B. and Elzetta Rawhouser, she was born September 30, 1879, at Columbus City, Iowa.
As a young girl, she came to Carroll with her parents. After attending the Carroll Public schools, she worked for J.B. Hungerford at the Carroll Herald office.
He marriage to Mr. Graham took place March 11, 1903, in Carroll. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1953.
Mr. and Mrs. Graham lived in various Iowa towns, including Ames, Gilbert,Breda, and Wall Lake before returning to Carroll from Wall Lake March 18, 1947.
Mrs. Graham is survived by her husband, three sons, Donald J. Graham, Cedar Rapids, Erwin W. Graham, Cleveland, Ohio, and Harold Graham, Storeden, Minn.; one daughter, Edith Graham, Little Rock, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren, one brother, Harry C. Rawhouser, Carroll businessman, and one sister, Mrs. John R. (Bess) Byerly, Carroll.
Her parents and a son, Charles Arthur Graham, preceded her in death.
All of the children and Mrs. Graham's brother-in-law and sister, Mr and Mrs. Byerly are here. Mr. and Mrs. Byerly arrived Saturday night from Clear Water, Florida.
Mrs. Graham was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Signet Chapter No. 1 Order of the Eastern Star and the Thimble Bee.
