Gadsden Times-News - 30 May 1902, Fri, p 2
News reached Gadsden Monday of the death of Mrs Elizabeth Dalrymple, which occurred at her home near Keener last Wednesday morning. Mrs Dalrymple had been complaining for several days, but nothing of a serious nature. About 3:30 Wednesday morning a young lady in the house woke and got up to get a drink and passed through the room found Mrs Dalrymple cold in death.
Mrs Dalrymple was born in South Carolina in 1830 and moved to Etowah county when about 12 yars old. She married Thomas Dalrymple, who preceded her to the grave some 21 years ago. She was a pure Christian lady and was loved and respected by all her neighbors. She leaves an only brother, M P Waldrop. Her remains were interred at Bristow cemetery. Another good woman has passed away; another angel in heaven. To the bereaved brother we extend our sympathies.
