Clyde is the son of Dr. Joseph E. Bundy and Carrie R. Schermerhorn. He married Mayme Young.

OBITUARY:
Dr. C. T. Bundy, the sixth and last of a line of Dr. Bundy's, well known Physician of Earl Par, Indiana son of Dr. Joseph E. and Carrie R. Schermerhorn Bundy was born Nov 4, 1885 at Cissna Park, IL. After graduating from his home high school he entered the University of IL, and the Chicago College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he received his medical degree.

He came to Earl Park in 1911 and established a large practice. In 1912 he was married to Mayme Young, a most successful teacher of Kankakee. They came to Earl Park where they have since made their home. He entered service Aug 5, 1917 at Ft. Benj. Harrison. Training: Ft. Benj. Harrison; Camp Shelby Mississippi and Willow Dawns England. Assigned to ambulance Co. #3 Ind. National Guard, redesignated Ambulance Co. #149-113th Sanitary Train 38th. Division. Transferred to command American Hospital, Lyons, France. First Lieutenant Medical Corps Aug 5, 1917; Captain Oct 5, 1918. Overseas Oct 1, 1918 to June 30, 1919. Discharged July 29, 1919.

A most fitting citation was awarded him by John J. Pershing, Commander-In-Chief as follows--"For exceptionally meritorious and conspicuous services as Commanding officer American Hospital, Lyons, France American Expeditionary Forces. In testimony thereof and as an expression of appreciation of these services I award him this Citation". Signed John J. Pershing.

On his return from the War he re-established his practice in Earl Park where it grew to such an extent that later a Hospital was established.

About a year ago his health began failing. He continued his service until two weeks ago when he was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital. He underwent a major operation and all the medical skill and tender care could do was done but of no avail and he passed away at 7:30 PM Feb 18, 1937

In the passing of Dr. Bundy the town and community for miles around have lost a friend and benefactor. He was always reaching a helping hand to any one in need.

There are left to mourn his passing the wife and three brothers, Ralph J. of Sheldon, IL, Carroll E. of Cranford, N. J. and Gerald of Stockton, CA.

He was a member of the American Legion, the 40 & 8, Joppa Lodge #680 of which he was a charter member, The Shrine of Meridian, Miss. Was in the first Soldiers class in the Consistory at Indianapolis. He was also a member of the American Medical Association. The State and County Medical Societies.

The funeral service were held at the home Sunday at 2 PM Rev. Peter McEwan of Williamsport officiating and a Military service held at the cemetery in Sheldon, IL.
