Harold A. Brouneus, age 87 of Painted Post, NY passed away on April 17, 2012 at Corning Hospital. He was born on December 18, 1924 in Huntington, WV to Joseph and Daphne (Saunders) Brouneus. He married Beatrice Aker on November 6, 1948 in Corning, NY. Harold is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Daphne Brouneus and a nephew, Timothy Nares.

Harold retired in 1984 from Corning Inc, where he was an Electronic Engineer and earned several patents. Recently he received his 65 year service pin. Harold was also employed with WKNP & WCBA as a radio engineer. He was active at St. Catherine's Church in Addison NY, a charter member of Indian Hills Golf Club, as well as a licensed Ham Radio Operator.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beatrice, 4 children Nancy (Scott) Merrill of Lake Wales, FL; Janet (James) Lyons of Campbell, NY; Chari (Michael) Leleck of Parker, CO; and Hal (Florence) Brouneus of Painted Post, NY; 12 grandchildren Matthew (Gina) Callahan; Michael (Lili) Callahan; Ashley (Jason) Thomas; Melissa Lyons; Jessica (Jay Farino) Lyons; Rebecca (Tony Meyer) Lyons; Jeffrey Lyons; Jason (Beth) Leleck; Tracy (Ryan) Schott; Sarah (Jamie) Nichols; Beth (Dave) Wheat; Amy (Brian Snyder) Brouneus; and 5 great grandchildren; Madison & Hannah Nichols, Brody Wheat, Addison & Landon Thomas; Brother, Karl Brouneus of Hornby, NY; and Sister Carolyn (Joseph) Nares of Corning, NY, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter-Flint Funeral Home 10 Wall Street, Addison, NY 14801 on Friday, April 20, 2012 from7:00PM-9:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held St. Catherine's Church in Addison on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:00AM. Burial will immediately follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Addison.
