Lillie V. Hudman Chapman, our Mama, 97, peacefully went to heaven Thursday, May 4, 2006.
Funeral: Noon Monday at the Chapel of Chimes in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Burial: Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells, following the service. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Mrs. Chapman was born July 15, 1908, on a farm near Mineral Wells, the daughter of S.V. and Rosa Hudman. For much of her married life, she lived in Arizona raising her two daughters. After the death of her husband, E.L. Chapman, the family moved to Fort Worth. She worked at Monnig's Department Store. She attended church as long as she was able to go and later watched church services on television; she loved the gospel singers. Mrs. Chapman was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors: Daughters, Jean Heath and Linda Dyer; sister, Bonita Payne and husband, Rex; grandson, Wayne Dyer and wife, Becky; granddaughter, Michele Eggleston and husband, Danny; great-granddaughter, Ashley Eggleston; and a host of nieces and nephews.
