OBITUARY "Van Buren County Democrat" (Thursday, Jan. 2, 1964)--
Mrs. Luisey Mae Archer, 70, of Dennard, died at her home Friday, Dec. 20. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at Dennard Community Church by Rev. Chester Roten.
Mrs. Archer was a correspondent for the Democrat for more than 35 years. She was a Methodist. She was born at Rumley Nov. 20, 1893, the daughter of the late Rev. H. N. and Margaret Rumley. She was married to Will Archer March 16, 1911 and to this union 11 children were born.
In addition to her husband she is survived by five sons, Henry and Garner Archer of Galt, Cal., Thomas and Hobart Archer of Garden City, Cal., and Arthur Archer of Dennard; six daughters, Mrs. Belle Cotton of Costa Mesa, Cal, Mrs. Dora Linn and Mrs. Willie Mae Hinchey of Dennard, Mrs. Jewell Jolly of England, Mrs. Cedia Jolly of Clinton, and Mrs. Doris Williams of Galt, Cal.; a brother; three sisters; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Dennard Cemetery by Coffman Funeral Home of Marshall.
